FAQs
How to care for and store your peaches?
Because our peaches are picked to ensure peak freshness when you receive them, they will need a few days to fully come into their juices. To use them as quickly as possible, let them come to room temperature and place them in a paper bag. They will typically be ready to go the next day.
To make them last longer, put them in the refrigerator and pull them out a few at a time. It is very important to only take them out as you’re ready to use them. Don’t take them in and out of the fridge will cause them to become mealy.
Watch them closely as they can over-ripen quickly and spoil.
How do I freeze peaches?
Put 2 to 6 peaches in a plastic zip-lock bag. Do not wash or peel them. Make sure the peaches are ripened to suit you before you put them in the bag. Store in the freezer until you’re ready to use them. Take them out of the freezer, leave them in the bag and run warm or hot water over the peaches. The skin will rub right off – leaving the peach ready to use. Peaches frozen this way will keep up to one year or more. (from the kitchen of Cindy Edmiston)
